  • Space Hub Perth

    CORE Innovation Hub has partnered with Space Hub Perth to deliver the NASA International Space Apps Challenge for six consecutive years.

  • UWA Living Lab

    Living Lab is a collaboration between the University of Western Australia, CORE Innovation Hub and METS Ignited, with support from System Health Lab and BHP.

  • Development WA

    Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct North of the Perth CBD, CORE will partner on the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct that will serve as a development and testing ground.

Space Hub Perth

Committed to building and strengthening technology development in space, CORE Innovation Hub, Perth is the WA Space Hub Partner of MoonshotX, an Australian organisation dedicated to supporting new space infrastructure enterprises. 

Space Hub Perth aims to help foster a coordinated, local space industry community in Western Australia, through our combined efforts to raise awareness of opportunities and capability for growing the role of local entrepreneurs and innovators in the dynamic space sector, underpinned by our strengths in resources technology.

Through MoonshotX CORE Innovation Hub has been able to support the delivery of the Gemini incubator and accelerator program, as well as proudly hosting the Space Hub Perth Meetup.

Living Lab @ UWA


Living Lab is a collaboration between the University of Western Australia, CORE Innovation Hub and METS Ignited, with support from System Health Lab and BHP to help startups to conduct product site trials - a critical step in gaining access to real-world mine site trials. 

HOW IT WORKS

Using UWA’s industrial-grade infrastructure, Living Lab participant are able to 

  • Trial their product

  • Demonstrating adherence to saftey

  • Document critical installation, commissioning and removal procedures. 

  • Demonstrate a pathway for de-risking future deployment opportunities.

THE TEAM

The Living Lab team supports innovators to conduct trials of their product. The team consists of Research Engineers currently undertaking Postgraduate coursework, supported through mentorship and expertise provided by members of UWA, Core Innovation Hub, BHP and the community.
