The third annual Space Apps Perth hackathon concluded Sunday night with 7 teams pitching their solutions to various NASA challenges. Two teams will now progress to the global competition…

CORE Skills is delighted to announce the foundation collaborators supporting its 2018 ‘Geoscientist to Data Scientist’ industry skills pilot program. Partnerships with our CORE Skills foundation collaborators will create new value for the resources sector via demand-led, transformative content. Collaborators hailing from industry include Rio Tinto and ATCO, and from academia: CSIRO Data61, Curtin University and The University of Western Australia.

Global Resources and Technology Connections Strengthened Between Innovation Hubs

On Wednesday 26 October, a reciprocal exchange agreement was signed between CORE Innovation Hub and Caterpillar Ventures. This is the first step for CORE in establishing a network of global resources tech hubs. Both organisations have the shared objective of connecting startup communities and associated corporate networks to international opportunities, and a mutual interest in identifying these opportunities, whilst leveraging common strengths in resources and energy.
