Late in 2016, NERA hosted an industry discussion focusing on the idea of innovation clusters as a mechanism to promote collaboration and innovation in Australia’s oil and gas industry. This discussion has been followed up in 2017 with a series of workshops and training sessions to educate the local industry on the value and opportunities these collaborative efforts bring.
NERA is now in the process of identifying key areas of unique capabilities and competence in our industry sector where innovation clusters could naturally form.
This briefing session will give you an overview of what an innovation cluster is, examples of successful innovation clusters operating in other parts of the world and an update on NERA’s efforts in forming innovation clusters in the local subsea sector.
This briefing is a repeat of the event held on 1 August
