Founded in 2014 following an inaugural win at Australia's first open-innovation event for mining and resources, Newton Labs successfully demonstrated their ability to use connected sensors and data analytics to detect oversize material in the back of haul trucks before taking out the WA Innovator of the Year award in 2015. They're now trialling and deploying their IoT system across major mining operations around the world

MD Redback Energy

A keen advocate of Australia being a world leader in Nanogrids, Redback Energy works to develop virtual power plants combining sardware, software and Asset Management Services. The Redback Platform is IOT enabled, and Redback's 60 strong team of data scientists team at Queensland University is building future applications for a IOT based Consumer experience with a vision being to provide offline power centres in an IoT enabled environment.


SOLDER is a dedicated hardware and maker space based within FLUX designed specifically for technology entrepreneurs, companies, service providers and researchers to co-locate, collaborate and innovate to create new electronic and mechanical products to solve problems facing industry, society and the environment.
