About the Speakers:

Joshua Portlock, SciAero

Joshua is the founder of SciAero and ElectroAero. He started a UAV development company from his final year project at Curtin University. Joshua specialises in high-performance VTOL and fixed wing electric aircraft designed entirely from the ground up. He has been recognised in Anthills Smart 100 and Manufacturing Monthly’s Young Manufacturer of the Year.

Chris Leslie, Airscope

Chris is the Managing Director at Airscope Industries, pivoting the company through UAV services, developing aircraft and providing end-to-end UAV services and data processing. Airscope works with businesses from a range of industries including mining, oil and gas, and renewables. Chris is an enthusiastic entrepreneur with over 10 years of commercial aviation experience, and various leadership and managerial roles.
