CORE is pleased to host Pieter van Schalkwyk, Founder and CEO of startup XMPro, a global provider of software and services for industrial IoT applications.

Pieter joins us from Berlin, where XMPro is currently part of the competitive SAP IoT Accelerator Program, to talk more about his product which is used by some of the world’s largest oil and gas companies.

About Pieter

As the Founder and CEO of XMPro, Pieter van Schalkwyk oversees a team of experts who obsess over helping customers solve complex Industrial IoT challenges. Pieter started his career as a plant engineer and maintenance manager at a large chemical manufacturer. He has since accrued more than 10 years of engineering experience and 20 years of IT experience. Pieter holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s in Information Technology.

Pieter is co-presenter of the openSAP Imagine IoT online course, where he has shared his knowledge of Industrial IoT alongside guest speakers from Intel and Deloitte with more than 19,000 students. He also serves as a co-chair of the Industrial Internet Consortium’s (IIC) Ecosystem task group. Pieter brings a unique mix of engineering and IT skills to solve the challenges of Industrial IoT in asset intensive industries.
