MATTHEW ALLEN Managing Director, Subcon
Matthew has extensive experience delivering large diameter, drilled and grouted foundations for oil and gas platforms and renewables projects. His resume includes the largest platforms of this type to be installed in the southern hemisphere as well as remote locations in the Southern Ocean and Bass Strait. Matthew is committed to education and research has sponsored stabilisation research projects at leading universities including UWA and the Australian Maritime College.
Prior to founding Subcon, Matthew worked as an OIM for Operators Woodside and Chevron as well as an installation engineer at Saipem, Technip and Clough. His background as a seafaring marine engineer for BHP Transport on their bulk carriers and gas tankers provides a practical basis for both his engineering solutions and project management.
Matthew is a founding partner of Subcon and has built the business into a multinational company with a clearly defined and unique offering in the market.
Subcon is a global provider of subsea foundations, stabilisation products and artificial reefs. Established in 2011, Subcon has built an impressive CV of signature projects by providing rapid installation services and innovative products, backed by local support in the offshore and nearshore environments.
