Peter Clarke from METS Ignited details Manufacturing Modernisation Fund at Community Coffee.

While our Perth Hub is still in lockdown, there has been no stopping the team! Members and friends of CORE Innovation Hub gathered online for Community Coffee this week to hear from Peter Clarke, General Manager of Industry Engagement for METS Ignited.

Peter announced that further funding rounds of The Manufacturing Modernisation Fund will open in the coming weeks. The $52.8 million initiative driven by the Australian Government’s Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources Modern Manufacturing Strategy to help Australian manufacturing scale-up, become more competitive and resilient and seek to create more manufacturing jobs both now and in the future.

Supporting the sustainability and productivity of new and existing manufacturing businesses in Australia, the Manufacturing Modernisation Fund will provide matching grants from $100,000 to $1 million. Round Two funding recently closed in January, with further grant opportunities to be announced shortly under the

National Manufacturing Priorities: Resources Technology & Critical Minerals Processing, Food & Beverage, Medical Products. Recycling & Clean Energy, Defence, Space.

The fund will be administered by the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre, and supported by METS ignited. Applications for the next round of funding under the Modern Manufacturing Strategy will due to be announced in the latter half of Q1.
