As Australia’s only resources focused innovation hub, CORE is pleased to support the Awards celebrate and recognise local resources and energy companies who are impacting innovation in the sector globally.
The MERS winner will receive a three-month coworking membership of CORE, a scholarship to attend a CORE Skills course held in 2019 and a platform to share insights and engage with innovation community.
Tamryn Barker, CORE CEO announced Como Engineers as the category winner at the awards ceremony on 18 October. Como Engineers has become a recognised specialist in the design and construction of modular mining process plants that can be containerised and shipped anywhere in the world.
In welcoming them to the CORE Community she noted that “Como Engineers is an excellent example of how an Australian company can develop, manufacture and export high value technology products. They have used the State’s strengths in mining to develop their technology and we are particularly impressed with their investment in research and development and their commitment to continuing to base operations from Perth.”
She also congratulated the category finalists, Imdex, MizCo and Qteq remarking that “the calibre was extremely high and demonstrates the excellent technical capabilities in mining and energy that this state has.”
CORE is also pleased to congratulate CORE Member Blue Ocean Monitoring for winning the Environmental Solutions award.
Como Engineers and Blue Ocean Monitoring now progress to the 56th Australian Export Awards being held in November.
