The Finalists for the 30th WA Industry and Export Awards were announced at CORE today at an event attended by award applicants and sponsors. CORE is a proud sponsor of the Awards which honour and acknowledge Western Australian businesses achieving success in international trade in a range of sectors.
Engineers Australia’s College of Leadership and Management has identified Education, Risk and Project Management, Leadership and Management, Sustainability and Invention and Innovation as areas in which new and creative responses are needed to both entrenched and emergent problems and opportunities. They explored these issues at a recent Innovation Cafe at CORE.
Women in Energy hosted an excellent breakfast panel on influencing policy change. It was an interesting discussion with panelists sharing their tips for how best to achieve results and considering whether influencing was an art or a feat.

NERA is investigating the power of, and potential, for establishing innovation clusters in Australia across the energy resources sector. Following the successful Innovation Cluster Workshop at CORE last November, NERA will be holding the first phase of NERA’s Opportunity Knocks SME program at the AOG Expo on February 23.
