Core Start 2020 Case Study: SafeAI. With a mission to accelerate the transition to autonomous mining and construction, SafeAI, head-quartered in Silicon Valley, is working on a solution which could improve productivity, solve labour shortages and save millions in costs. The company has established a base in Perth and is expanding its operations in a further investment in the Australian resources industry.
Innovative Perth-based technology companies Mapizy and Camp Connect have been selected as the winners of the third round of the CORE Start Award, sponsored by CORE foundation partners NERA (National Energy Resources Australia) and WesTrac.
Perth-based technology company Chironix have been selected as the winner of the second CORE Start Award. The award was announced as part of CORE’s second anniversary celebrations on Thursday 23 August 2018 by NERA CEO Miranda Taylor.
Chironix works across Robotics, Machine Learning, Data Engineering and Cloud. They apply robotics capability to industry, integrating sensors and other technical solutions to highly mobile robots to solve client problems. Chironix co-creates with their clients from idea inception through to procurement, and on the implementation of these solutions through a series of trials and workplace integrations.
Minimising overheads and maximising connections is critical for early stage and emerging technology startups. The ‘CORE Start’ award provides promising resources tech startups with 3 months of co-working at CORE coupled with facilitated industry connections and support to grow their business. A briefing session was provided for companies interested in applying for Round 2 of the Award.
