CORE is Australia's first co-working, collaboration and innovation hub focused on the resources industry.
CORE is a common point for operators, suppliers, researchers, entrepreneurs and startups to connect and collaborate on innovative challenges across the oil, gas and mining and mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sectors.
It is our mission at CORE to deliver Proximity to skills, solutions and opportunity along the supply chain, and a Culture of entrepreneurship, open innovation, trust, collaboration and speed.
The future success of the industry relies on the ability to overcome challenges and accelerate the commercialisation of digital technologies aimed at providing practical solutions for organisations large and small.
CORE opened in July 2016 with a vision of bringing solutions and opportunities from new technologies, startups and entrepreneurs to the well-established resources industry. Together with our industry partners, we are providing an environment that provides leadership in leveraging digital technologies to address industry’s challenges today, and strengthen Australia as a global resources technology innovation hub.
In its first 6 weeks of opening, CORE hosted more than 25 resources sector focused events with some 2000 participants, with hundreds more through the space.
CORE’s foundation industry partners NERA, METS Ignited, Austmine, WesTrac, Unearthed and Spacecubed, all have innovation teams in the space alongside other operators, suppliers, mid-tiers, small and medium sized enterprises and technology startups across the sector.
Through its resident accelerator Unearthed, CORE is opening up access to innovators and startups, to help transform traditional operating models, diversify businesses and positively disrupt the resources sector in order to better serve customers and communities.
